Cupping
Cupping is a traditional therapy that involves placing special cups on the skin to create suction. This suction helps with pain relief, muscle relaxation, and promoting circulation. Dry cupping, sliding cupping, and fire cupping are all offered here at Jiwa Chiropractic & Wellness.
IASTM
Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) involves using specialized tools to apply pressure to the affected areas of the body, such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. The goal is to improve tissue mobility, reduce pain, and promote healing. Some common conditions that can be treated are tendonitis and tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, muscle strains and sprains, scar tissue management, and restricted range of motion in a joint.
Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy (RLT) uses low-wavelength red light to stimulate healing, reduce inflammation, and promote cell regeneration. It’s known for its benefits in improving skin health by boosting collagen, reducing wrinkles, and enhancing skin texture. RLT also supports pain relief, accelerate muscle recovery, and speed up wound healing. It can promote hair growth, improve mood by increasing serotonin, and enhance sleep quality. Additionally, it boosts circulation, supporting overall health and faster recovery.
RLT is a non-invasive, safe treatment with minimal side effects, making it a convenient option. Whether you’re looking to improve your skin, relieve pain, or support recovery, red light therapy offers a natural and effective solution.
Other Techniques
Acupressure is a soothing, needle-free therapy rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. Instead of using needles, this technique applies gentle, focused pressure to specific points on the body. These points are strategically chosen along energy pathways, known as meridians, to help restore balance and promote overall wellness without the use of needles.
Dry Needling
Dry needling involves inserting very thin acupuncture needles into specific trigger points within muscles. The main goal of dry needling is to relieve pain, reduce muscle tightness, and improve mobility by targeting trigger points and promote the healing process. These trigger points can be caused by muscle imbalances, poor posture, overuse, injury, or stress.
Ear Candling
Ear candling is an alternative wellness practice where a hollow candle is placed in the ear and lit to create a gentle vacuum effect. This process helps remove excess earwax, relieve ear pressure, and improve circulation in the ear areas. It can help alleviate vertigo, dizziness, remove toxins, and promote relaxation.
